Yo Soy Eli
Bio
Born with the rhythm and soul of Kansas City, Missouri — and armed with a sound all his own — emerges Yo Soy Eli.
Music has always been part of Eli’s DNA. “I don’t even remember when I started… probably banging on pots and humming whatever came to mind,” he laughs. That raw love for sound grew into a deep exploration across genres: from Gospel and R&B to Hip-Hop, Pop, Classical, and Rock.
Before becoming Yo Soy Eli, he was known as Lloyd Anthony, front man and songwriter for the acclaimed gospel group Lloyd Anthony & Eli. Their debut single, “My Vow,” hit over 100,000 streams in 2011 — back when streaming was just starting to make waves.
Then life shifted. After losing his mother later that same year, Lloyd stepped away from music, disbanding the group and going silent. But the songs never stopped coming — only now, each carried a more personal tone, a signature sound.
After years of reflection and rebirth, he returned with a new name and a renewed mission: Yo Soy Eli — “I Am Eli.”
Blending genres with intention and heart, Yo Soy Eli creates feel-good music for a world that could use more light.
